Charles “Clay” Clifton III joined the Law Offices of Humberto Izquierdo, Jr., PC after previously working as a workers’ compensation insurance defense attorney. Using the knowledge he obtained in defending employers and insurance companies, Clay has dedicated himself to assisting injured workers in recovering all benefits to which they are entitled under Georgia law. He is also a fluent Spanish speaker.
Clay grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia, and later attended the University of Georgia, where he received his undergraduate degree in Spanish and Latin American & Caribbean Studies. While at UGA, he worked in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and later completed a conflict resolution program in Quito, Ecuador, focused on assisting displaced Colombian immigrants.
Clay was awarded his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 2018, where he was a member of the University of Richmond Law Review, as well as president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Society. Clay was also involved in a free legal services clinic, devoted to assisting Spanish-speaking members of the Richmond area.
When not working, Clay enjoys playing golf and watching UGA football. He lives in Midtown.
