David Hurtado joined the Law Offices of Humberto Izquierdo, Jr., PC in 2016 after several years of working as a workers’ compensation insurance defense attorney. Using the knowledge he obtained in defending employers and insurance companies, David has dedicated himself to assisting injured workers in recovering all benefits to which they are entitled under Georgia law.
Education & Background
David grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before attending the University of Central Florida, where he received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations. He was awarded his J.D. from Georgia State University in 2010, where he was an Executive Member of the Moot Court Board, and received awards for Best Oral Argument and Best Overall Competitor in the 2008 Moot Court Competition.
David was also a member of several student groups at Georgia State School of Law and assisted in teaching litigation courses to second-year law students.
In his spare time, David has served as a Board Member and Chairperson for the University of Central Florida Atlanta Alumni Association. He also volunteers with the Southern Poverty Law Center Southeast Immigration Freedom Initiative (SIFI) to assist immigrants who have been detained with pro bono legal assistance. David also enjoys golfing, playing baseball, and cheering on the UCF Knights.
David and his wife, Julia, live in Marietta with their daughter, Ellie.
